
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will be introducing a new service called the Tebrau Shuttle plying Singapore – Kluang - Singapore effective February 01, 2009. This service is available on a daily basis to ease the link up of daily commuters from Singapore to the southern part of Malaysia and vice versa.
The first shuttle train leaves Singapore at 8.15am and will arrive Kluang Station at 10.53am. The Singapore-bound train, meanwhile, leaves Kluang at 11.25am and will arrive Singapore at 1.55pm. The fare starts as low as RM3.
The shuttle will stop at seven stations, which are Rengam, Layang-Layang, Kulai, Kempas Baru, Danga City Mall, Johor Bahru and Woodlands.
This shuttle will provide convenient and reliable connecting services to most popular tourist destinations such as Lambak, Belumut Hill and not forgetting, Kluang Railway Station which serves one of the best coffee and kaya bun in Malaysia. No visitors to Kluang should miss this favorite local dish that is available 7.00am - 12.00noon and 2.30pm - 6.00pm daily.
With the introduction of the Tebrau Shuttle, Ekspres Kembara (trains number 28 and 29), which plies Singapore – Gemas – Singapore, will be terminated with effect from February 01, 2009.
